Service Description

One of our visitors' favorite tours, this one offers incredible scenery, a great diversity of birds, endemic species, and the opportunity to interact with the inhabitants of nearby communities. The first stage of the hike through the jungle takes in diverse landscapes, including crystal-clear streams and mountain peaks where you can spot the famous Dendrobates histrionicus frogs (also known as the harlequin frog). Upon reaching the Arusicito River, the second stage of the tour begins, descending in "chingos," small, handcrafted wooden canoes. These are navigated by local paddlers using long poles. During this part of the tour, you'll appreciate the changing landscape, transitioning from jungle to mangroves and finally to the river's mouth at the Gulf of Tribugá. At the end of the tour, there will be time to explore the town of Arusí, stroll through its streets, and meet its outgoing residents.
