Sustainable accommodation
At Punta Brava, we are fully committed to our sustainability policy. We strive to minimize our environmental impact, and therefore use a solar power plant to supply the hotel with all the energy it needs to operate. Furthermore, we use biodegradable toiletries, detergents, and cleaning products, and we separate our waste and dispose of it at the Nuqui recycling center, where we send all the recyclable materials produced by the hotel.
Apart from the above, we collect waste such as containers, flip-flops, buoys and other items that the sea brings to our beaches, materials that are also sent to the recycling center, and we invite our visitors not to bring products that leave waste and if they cannot avoid doing so to take them to their place of origin for final disposal.
What is Punta Brava?
Punta Brava is conceived as a pilot development project, based on responsible tourism as a catalyst for change in small communities with significant needs, located in areas with relatively undisturbed ecosystems. We believe that ecotourism is a catalyst for cultural interaction through which various productive projects can be activated, whether by the presence of visitors who consume products and services in the area, or simply by the cultural exchange between the native population and visitors, which enriches the community and generates positive projects and concerns regarding development.
Nuquí can be reached by air from Medellín with daily flights (from Olaya Herrera airport) or from Quibdó, Cali, Pereira and Bogotá with flights once or twice a week.
